The very slight touch of the crown just totally makes this piece. At first you think you're looking at something like a nature scene then you see the little elements of fantasy. Excellent rendering of a timeless classic!
very cute, i love how you made the grassy like strokes - its a very unique and slightly impressionistic approach. the leaf of the .. i'm guessing it is some type of lilly (my favourite flower btw) - is absolutely beautiful, i love the hint of orange as to say the sun light is setting on the other side... the sun set sky must be a beautiful sight for our little frog king.
A lily? Gah...my guess is a bird's of paradise. I spent so many years staring into the hearts of these beautiful flowers in my Grandparents front yard when I was little..they mean a lot to me.
Sir frog looks as though he is eagerly awaiting...seeking sight of his princess..wondering when his time will come. Such beautiful soft brush strokes and colours, really well done :)
