self portraits don't have to look like our physical selves. they can be emotional or conceptional representations of ourselves. i am living proof of that. this is a really beautiful charcoal portrait.

thecasualblue Thank you again : ), though I can't take too much credit for that as it wasn't really an emotional representation of myself lol. I simply thought that this sort of emotion would suit well with the pose. But really appreciate it. < 3

thecasualblue I'm no expert at charcoal, but I guess it just takes a bit of practice. First time I used a chacoal stick it got really messy and I tried using it as I would with a pencil and it looked like a 5 year old had been drawing it, so I just smudged it up and then got the idea of working into negative. cheers mate. n_n
