This is a reclaimed canvas of sorts. The initial composition and underpainting, if you will, was done about 3 years ago when I started playing around with gold leaf. The painting really was an experiment and I left it alone till about a month ago when I got it out of the storage closet. I had an initial sketch for it, but my wife pushed me in an unexpected direction and this is the result.
This is the first painting, in a long time, that I can say that I love.
