I was thinking the same as Ed. This is absolutely masterful work. Da Vinci worthy even and that is not an exaggeration. There is something so classically beautifully yet simple about this piece. Welcome to Creativestem!!
I hate to admit it but I am skeptical ... it is too good to be charcoal. The subtle changes in lighting would require an enormous amount of study and execution. Forgive me if I am mistaken. If so you have talent beyond comprehension.
whiskerz: haha :) I guess I'll take that one as a compliment :) Check out www.dorian-iten.com. All the stuff is from life, no photography involved.
Great work on this site, glad to have found my way here!
haha well he did =]
23mins in pose, 7mins break, then back up. 3 hours/day total.
I only sat for 2 hours/day for 4 days once and since then I appreciate the model's work a lot more.... It's really a close study of nature, no way around the model being there, there's a certain limit to what photos can do for you.
