Although I have been cursed with polishing my drawings too much.
In my mind my drawings are rougher, brushstrokes are harder and more free...really. Then on here and on paper, everything comes out as soft as a baby's butt. Grrrr
Looks like someone might be actually finding their spark again! Its so nice to see new work from you and this is no exception. As Mere pointed out all your work has this lovely soft quality that shines through it. Can't wait to see where the spark takes you next!
Good thing you left the 'good' eye - it's my favorite aspect of this piece. Not to mention it breaks her facial symmetry, which is always good in my book [quirk of mine]. Good stuff.
