This in itself is soothing. It looks like it was painted, but it wasn't and can be printed on billboard if you so choose!
I don't want to just be like "i love all of this", but its true. And i cant decide which jellyfish is my favourite they all look so perfect together...

carly Yay for billboard printing! Although...I did use a couple images in there...but I told myself at the time that they could easily be substituted if need be...if I wanted to print it big :]
Thank you! :D

meredith for some reason, since you made this, i have been seeing jellyfish everywhere i go! On graphics and stuff... and since this was the first I'd seen of them in a while... weirdly enough... i think of you everytime i see a jellyfish :] lol.
Woah, a Carly piece. Now, this is interesting. I really like the subject matter and the swirls of the tendrils. Almost as if each of them are in symphony with each other and that little touch of typo is just right!

carly It has been a pretty long time since I created anything, so it's most exciting for me too! Thanks for your comments Keith :]
Your jellyfishes are depressed, that's why they are all going down.
Their thin tendrils are cute.
If you want to be an illustrator, keep your Design job as that's what will bring food on your plate.

carly They're not depressed! They're doing backflips in big swirly upside down circles. I just caught them mid motion...like synchronised swimming. :]
I will keep my design job for now...but I think one day I'd really like to make things...I'm a big crafty/homewares lover so I would like to combine the two. I have many ideas!
Thanks for your comments Raphael! I appreciate them a lot :]
/me thinks you have a future in illustration. :) Lovely, I can't think of anything I would change.

carly Wow...thanks Pascal! I really appreciate comments like that coming from people who I admire...although a little hard to believe..! I have big aspirations..but I work very slowly with things ;)
rather simplistic at first glance, but stunningly detailed in terms of ink and shading. -- clean. -- good stuff!

carly I think it must be all that white space. I never know what to do in terms of making backgrounds, I'm not good at it at all so I end up just leaving blank always! Maybe it would have been a bit too chaotic with a background anyway? Thanks for your comments! :]
