Wow! This is really different from you! Kickin ass at Illustrator Meredith! I hope you didn't give in to Photoshop at any time during creating this ;)
It looks great, and I love it because it feels happy...albeit with a little attitude :)

meredith Aww, thanks Carly! I was feeling soooo happy yesterday - me and the sun, we were at peace with each other, and this just came to me.
i actually had it all different and then my computer crashed and i started over on it today after i slept on it, but it was a good thing, because i was able to sit back and slowly let my concept roll out - instead of the impulsive initial "feelings without thinking".
And nope allllllll illustrator!! i know you said at one point you wanted to marry illustrator.. can he have two wives? LOL ;]
Seriously NO photoshop? WOW!!!
You're damn skilled hun and I love your new illu-work. Amazing!!!

meredith lol, yes.. SERIOUSLY!!! hehe. Though i won't lie.. there were a few times i stopped and was like "hrmmm.... i could do this in pho..." and then i would quickly tune back into illustrator.
thank you so much for your kind thoughts i really appreciate it!
meredith thank you so much for appreciating the flow of the colour. it is something i really concentrated on, i wanted the sun to be melting into me.. :]
Lovely gradienting! I like the contrast of the darker bottom parts as opposed to the sun etc. Great job meredith!

meredith thanks martin, i really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me on this and for taking the time to absorb my lightness and my darkness :]
So vibrant and bright. Possibly one of your first pieces that I've ever seen with such a radical shift in style yet still retaining that classic mereism aspect to it all. Look, I just turned you into an art movement-style now. Its really quite beautiful. I love where this (your art) is going.

meredith This is really a huge compliment and you know it means a lot to me to be appreciated in this way. I hope i can continue to elevate myself and more than anything I hope it lasts. This place is what it is all about. Endless thanks to you, Keith. :]
It's like the sun is almost evaporating the blackness around her. Extra points for this being entirely done in vector. I still can't get over how organic and fluid the sun beams look. Nice work mere!

meredith This is truly a rewarding comment because when i was making the sun beams that is exactly what i was going for, i wanted an organic feel to them... i still feel like it needs a little bit of work though, but it will come out in future expression for sure.. As beautiful as Life and Light are.. Death and Darkness are a part of that beauty and it just completes it. It should make you feel warm and fuzzy and comforting in knowing the truth/reality of it.
