A piece inspired by the movie MirrorMask. I have been working with the idea since I first saw the movie. This is just the first of a series of works inspired by the movie. Of coarse I started with one of my favorite parts of MirrorMask the dolling chamber.

maybe its just me, but on the right arm the articular looks too bright to fit into the rest of the arm(on the other arm the globes seem to be turned against the lighting direction). i think the idea with the mouth is very beautiful, but the result is too bright also, view it as a thumbnail and you see what i´m talking about, it looks like a piece of paper with a stroke.

I have not got around to watching the movie, but seen many bits and pieces, and i can see where the inspiration came from.. this artwork is spectacular!

I just saw this move recently so now I can understand this piece a lot more. Really beautiful work, everything fits together so well. I agree with Fant that the mouth does appear to be a little brighter than the rest of the body so it stick out a little more but other than that top notch work. Can't wait to see more characters from you!
