Quite reflective of the way I've been feeling the past week. I love the duality of the tears opposed to the regular eye.. Needless to say - insane shading, esp her lips!

meredith Thank you Martin! It pleases me that else is on the same plane of existence as me for a change.
Nice use of a fairly limited color pallet. Really helps to accentuate the tear, it being the only blue in the piece. Definitely a bit different from your regular stuff as well. I'm still trying to figure out specifically how it's different, maybe your style is just evolving. Any way you slice it it's still very much yours.

meredith I think its experimentally mine, like hints of me, but me trying out something a little new. (like illustrator!) It's an entirely different world when working with vector. its easier for me to be simplistic and get my feelings out, and at the same time trying to learn to put the detail in all the right places.
A friend of mine said it looks very reminiscent of my older works (conte portraits) with a newer twist, so i guess that could mean evolving in other words..
Thanks so much for your thoughts, i appreciate them :]
The softness here is so pretty and delicate. I like your use of solid shapes and also lines. The lips are probably the best part. The brown circle on the upper lip does bother me though, it looks a little strange and reminds me of those nose piercing things that bulls have (!)...I imagine it's supposed to be a shadow though, in which case it could have been made a dark pink instead?
Your use of colour here really tells us that you're a fighter, a believer, and a dreamer, and you will keep on, through all the pain, gracefully.
Meredith I am trying to understand your choice of bordering in your latest work, the uneven sides? Which made me think...I want to pose a challenge to you, for you to make an artwork that requires no border, one that doesn't confine itself to 4 sides, but floats freely in empty space :)

meredith Thank you for all of your kind, considerate and thought out perceptions of my work, it always means so much to me and it is a wonderful reinforcement.
The challenge has been accepted, Concerning the bordering and Floating freely in Empty Space. You may (or may not) be pleased with my current creative obsession, Once it has been completed .. :]
Really like the limited use of the palette combined with the almost cubist like line work. I really like seeing each of these pieces as part of ongoing experimentation in style and your own personal development. Great work as ever Mere.

meredith It's so easy for me to get carried away with "clutter" so to speak... but it is a challenge to express myself in a Simple way with such a complicated subject matter. I didnt even realize the subtle cubism style - that is very interesting and i do see influences of that nature.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me on this one, Mr. K. ;]
