My first tattoo. Designed by myself, inked by Eric at Tattoo Revolution in Redlands, CA.
I've wanted a tattoo for awhile, but have always stipulated that it had to be something I designed. After various events in my life, I finally had the push I needed to finalize a design I'd started awhile back. I started dreaming again too, which helped me to come to the final design as well.
Eventually, I'll probably write up a decent explanation of all the elements that are in this tattoo. But, for now, I'm just hoping people can enjoy it as much as I am :)
I designed my first tattoo. When i was 18. Luckily (to my benefit) a skilled tattoo artist, recreated it for me, with my idea, in her style, and then passed it to another artist who recreated it, in his style, (and he actually tattoo'd me) So i actually do like it even still to this day (thank god it wasnt the one i sketched)! Its on my back at the top as well.. but rather than in the center it is off to the right.
Yours is a unique tattoo, you can see a lot of thought and customization went into it. i really like it. I really like too, how it looks as though, it can be built upon, and around, if you want to add to it it looks like it is begging for some company..
Though, after i got my first, i told myself i would never get one again ;] That is some serious pain people!!
Then my best friend visited from Australia and we drew manga sketches threw back a couple of drinks... and went to have them tattoo'd on the insides of our legs.
Sometimes it is hard to see and judge things without having a meaning behind them. I would like to know what it all represents to be able to appreciate it with you more :)
I agree with you on designing my own tattoo as well mate. So many people just go into tattoo studios and pick something out as if it were a mail order catalogue. Good thing we like to have something with a personal touch.
Great looking ink!
