This isn't quite my normal charcoal negative drawing sort of thing, but it's a cardboard model of an abstracty old tree placed amid scattered leaves is based on (or inspired by) a line of old trees along a long narrow path nearby. On the other side is a thick wall made out of stone. The big slumped branches of the threes above the path makes it look a lot like an archway. That said, at the end of the path you can see a tall Cathdral visible from a distance, which makes it look as if the line of trees are leading to it. I found it quite interesting, so I decided to develop it into an idea. It was also part of my response to an assessment task one of the universities i.e. UCL set me. Hope you like it. : )
