I like what you've done with this. I'd expect the stereotypical male lucifier, but I like how you made it a female yet so innocent and eloquent... brings wonder to it.

admemento Well, actually, it is a male Lucifer... but I like the fact that some people, including you, find the feminine side of him in this picture. It works with the character, and also with the myth of Angels having no gender. =]

devian Oh wow, gotta love perception, great job :)
Great job here mate! I like the approach of innocence and beauty - contrary to the stereotypical hideous and beast like displays of the Fallen Angel. The cold stare is that little brilliant detail which hints upon the evil.
As for the technical part, I'm astonished. The pose, proportions, light and esp. the texture on the cover are outstanding. Keep it up!
This painting is perfectly rendered. The emotion in his eyes says something to me. There is a restrained fire there. Like he knows he has sinned, but is completely comfortable with it, even enjoying it. True to the nature of the devil. You've definitely captured it...

pandemonium Then again, the blanket covering him could signify the knowledge of his evil and his shame. (Sorry if I overanalyzed this piece. I just think it's great.)

admemento No worries about over-analysing. I like the fact that different people come up with different things. I also find it highly interesting that most see evil and sin, when my intentions were... lets say less obvious. Maybe it's something they can't shake as it is, afterall, Lucifer.
Simply beautiful work. Everytime I look at this one I am reminded of renaissance pieces for some reason. Not for their religious themes but moreso the fantastic realism that comes across here. The folds in the wrap are amazing.
As always your own style shines through here and its those little touches that always make a difference.
