This is one in the works. I finally finished the sketch and will eventually add color, as with "Speed & Bubblegum". I started this piece when I was getting clean in rehab. I have been fooling with this idea ever since. In general, this is about the experiences I had when I was out of control on drugs - a puppet on a string, that thought it was the puppetmaster.
Tagsdark, light, black, and, white, demons, angels, posession, exorcism, reading, minds
I can relate to this feeling. Its like something grabbing at you, that little voice... you must have a mind alteration distraction to focus.
I have begun to lean on coffee as a crutch to stay away from "more harmful" things... but then again.. I hear coffee addiction can be pretty dangerous long term also.
I am looking forward to this in your colourful style. :]

pandemonium I had reached a point in my addiction where even my creativity was consumed by it. Thank God I'm not that person today. Coffee is the best, though. Seriously, I love it.

meredith Well, I should say, espresso rather, regular coffee just doesn't hit the spot anymore!
I'm honestly speechless.... reminds me of the "cutting" days. Your puppetmaster comment hits home in all forms, especially in this piece.

pandemonium Thank you... I'm glad I can look back at those days with a much clearer perspective. I am angered by the fact that I was greatly manipulated by "the enemy". I strive to never allow that again, especially to that degree of helplessness. I sincerely hope the same for everyone: complete mental and spiritual freedom. It's a huge goal of mine.

devian I can relate. It will "haunt", well linger, is the best description, for the rest of your life, but as long as you learn from it, and eventually help other people with it, you can live in freedom.
I tend to think of it as a war that I managed to win. The 100 or so scars that I carry are battlescars that are a reminder that I was strong and managed to overcome it.
We all have our demons, but it's the fact that you killed them thats important.
