The fourth in the row of commissioned pieces, based on a story by the client. It's also the last one I will be able to show for the time being:
The Fallen are - as the name suggests - creatures who have fallen from grace. Or maybe they never fell, and have always been nightmares incarnate. No one knows what they really look like, as they can appear as anything they choose to drive their victim into insanity, and thus servitude or, if you're lucky, death...
Again there was no real brief. Neither my client nor I knew how to best depict these creatures. It wasn't until I was sketching for "the Fair" that I had the idea of doing what I did here. My client loved it, so... here it is. =]
This is so nice and the closeups are just lovely. Thank you for adding them, it makes it all the more enjoyable. A very emotional piece. If she is fallen from grace.. I think i'd like to be fallen as well.

admemento Thank you. - And you're welcome. I like adding close-ups as some of the details get lost in the resizing. :)
And oh, I don't know if I'd recommend wishing for that. Nasty things, or so I've heard. The mask "it" wears here may be nice to look at, but whatever is underneath...

meredith Thats so nice of you to say & oops i mean "it" ;] ..
Though for the most part, i fear its already happened..
The detail in the closeup is flawless. The subtle faces in her dress show so much emotion. The colors and tone are flawless as well. Such a disturbing piece. I love it!
I am so glad that you are able to share these with us and being able to see the close ups just adds another layer on the final piece. Quite epic work really, and somehow your work just keeps getting better which is almost impossible considering how amazing it has been in the past.

And well, I don't think I'll ever stop learning. In fact, I don't want to stop learning! :D
