I like how you too a semi-realism approach to it, but also made it feel very technical. By technical I mean, all this is missing are some labels and it could be thrown in a fishing book.

whiskerz You are exactly right, it is a very technical piece with no pretense of creativity. For me it was more a study of how to suggest the look of metal.
Another old sketch ... remind me to draw again when I have time.
