An installation shot of an acrylic painting done February through March of 2008 (Never Finished). 7.7’ x 6.4’ on un-stretched canvas.
This is a low-resolution installation shot of the painting, which also acted a screen for a video piece. The act of painting was filmed and then projected onto the painting itself in black and white luminance so that the piece would be lit on a looped 45-minute variation.
The original painting was stolen on Sunday, March 30th from the York University studios and was never completed.
Oh wow....it's like a total modern day mystery. I wonder one day you will be amazingly famous and this piece will be discovered hiding in somebodies basement. Heh. I'm sorry...maybe it's not so nice to have stolen but imagine the stories that could come of it :)
It is lovely though and your installation piece sounds really interesting would have been nice to see.
