A personal piece (and self-portrait), inspired by the song "The Day the World caved in" by Tim Hudson.
In essence, the picture has nothing in common with the song. It was the feeling I got from it that sparked the idea and carried it beyond the initial inspiration. And despite the generally sad undertone, sadness is not what I saw in my mind. Introspection perhaps, and retrospection. Something somewhere in between mental exhaustion and quiet elation. One of those feelings that you cannot really put your finger on, no matter hard you try. And in the end, there is always hope...
