this was inspired by a conversation that i had with my sister. while i was creating.
she was coming across the street and cut off some ladies who were walking on the side walk, and as she passed she heard the lady mumble "She ain't even know i was about to run into her" so that really pissed lindsey off so she called me and that because our new phrase "She ain't even know i was about to.. (you fill in the blank". Anyway this is my interpretation of our conversation and that situation. And i rephrased so i wasn't totally sampling the ladies words.
Gee, what a rare and completely un-emotional inspiration to your work! This is amazing though, I love it. The colours are gorgeous and your interpretation of the scene seems so fitting. The sliced segments as a symbol of being cut off works really well. And I have to say that snakey thing is quite cute. xx

meredith The emotions are definitely not at the forefront and more subtle for sure. i am feeling that way about myself these days, as though i truly have no idea what is coming at me around the corner, and it really fit well with her little story. i took a picture of that little snake in the yard during the photos shot for "in the weeds" :] he was actually that orange. i was like terell a snake! he thought it was a hair tie until it started moving...
thanks for the wonderful comment, Carly and always taking notice to my direction.
Anyway, there's so much going on here I ain't even knowin' where to start lookin'. :P I also checked out the sketchbook for this as well. Quite amazing to see the workflow in progress and all. Every single one of the images there could have been a piece itself!
Seriously... amazing work as always. This would almost be too much going on for some, but I love how u made everything from the colors to the myriad images just flow together so beautifully.
I can only imagine it's like a glimpse into your mind. :)
