the 1980's had a huge 60's influence, even with remake's of many many well known songs from the 60's and come backs from the 60's as well as in the fashion trends and such. i find human kind likes to revert back and incorporate styles from 20 years past. Like now everyone is reverting back to the 80's and so forth, but incorporating new styles which 20 years from now will be the 00's and we will probably be incorporating that into our 20's style.
that sounds weird to say the 20's! but its coming (maybe if we dont all die in 12)
But anyway - this piece is a reflection of a product of the 80's. Look what 1980 brought you... me and whoever else was fortunate enough to be born that year :]
vector - well "vexel" cos i did it in photoshop not illustrator (silly terminology), as well as digital photoshop painting, with photomanipulation of some "herbal elements" i scanned in :]
You already have great comments, but I wanted to add that I love this too and also point out the fact that you love playing with these surreal gestures that flow from your hair. It's gorgeous. I'd love to just see a whole piece dedicated to that :) It's great. NIce work.
