Another Airbrush work done a while ago, back in the artschool days.
the original work is done on a Schoellershammer board in 50X70 cm.

Fantasy and surrealism all in one. This is fantastic work! This is all photo manipulation or sketching too? It almost looks like its entirely done in charcoal.

thanks, its first rendition was done as a manipulation- which i used later as reference for the painting, which is done entirely with physical airbrush on board.
Schoellershammer is a very thick(4 mm) fine art board for airbrush and retouching works specially for illustration purposes..
its a bit more expensive than other material, but the results are worth it.
the pro´s of such a material is that you can scratch, work with erasers and scalpel to achieve photorealistic portraits and such.
I never thought I would ever find anything beautiful that kind of reminds me of cabbage. but I definitely do right now. this piece is just pure elegance.
