I've done a lot of ink work on Bristol sheets (thin, yet heavy).
I want to digitally import them (via digital camera) to add them to my collection as well as share them with all of you. I also would like to sell the originals sometime in the future, which would most likely require framing them.
To anyone who has done traditional pieces on sheets or paper, how should I go about framing them? Cheap? Matte? Wood?

I don't control my emotions. I just make them digital.

How big are the pieces?
If they are "standard size" like 8x10 or 11x17 you can usually find mattes for them at Michaels as well as frames. My wife has done that numerous times...we usually us coupons and get them cheaper.

Thanks for the response Cog :)
They're 14" x 17". Should I still go with a matte?

Yes. It's common practice that if you are going to sell originals with frames that you matte them and frame them. Unless the work itself is designed to not be framed. Anything on paper is usually matted.

next to coupons any other ideas on inexpensive framing/matting? certain places to look that i am not thinking of? there has to be. i am also thinking not only for individuals but for showscases too... hmm.
i dropped a good chunk of my budget on
two
20x24 frames & two mattes (& these were one of the least expensive). quality frames do enhance, but gosh. i need to continue to survive and maintain the flow during the turn around time.
i know their is always the building yourself, but... i'm not the best craftsman.
