So I heart this comment by this guy, Mircea Turcan in a conference and he has this point of view, which I find quite interesting and worth discussing:
He says, and I'm paraphrasing cause I can't remember his exact words:
\"The look of most graphics have become very similar. They all mostly look the same because the dominating tools in the market (Adobe's Photoshop and Flash was mainly what he referred to) are globalized tools and ultimately, most products end up looking in one way or the other, the same.\"
Thoughts?

Eh, I disagree.
It's like saying all websites are very similar because they all use HTML.
Photoshop, and Flash are essentially sandboxes. It's not the program that limits your ability, creativity, or imagination. Don't blame the program, blame the trends :P

Yeah, I disagree with that sentiment, too. It's not the program; it's the person using it.

Unique results will be slim when you limit your range or criteria. In any search. Most products in the market have to follow a certain guideline in order to remain within the larger portion of the target curve and appeal to the average person.
I never like obvservations like these without a counter act effort to improve upon. It is ignoring all of the unique and beautiful creations in the world that are frowned upon or less likely to be used because they are different and because they happen to not fall within this target curve guideline.
Always Broaden the Spectrum. (because its already much more broad than you will ever be able to conceive)
