Just a suggestion. We have some banners that are used as titles (with the text left-aligned), but the titles are off the align of the page (where the bodies of text start). Maybe we can make it so that the text on the banners and on the page align, maybe by making the banners "bleed" out of the content area.
Here's what I mean:

Hm, doesn't look like the [img] tag is working. Here's the link, anyways!

thanks James, but my 8 years experience and bachelor of design degree thinks its just fine ;)
theres a whole complex grid system behind the obvious that exists to fix all that content together

Oh Luis. Modest as usual. ;)
Just seemed to look a little off. When I played with it in Photoshop it felt a bit more right, but I guess it didn't look as good. You win.

i appreciate your feedback.
however it doesn't work because the image is a feature and that feature module is transitional (meaning theres no grid and it can change to anything, and is seen as a block at 950px), you cannot adjust a global style to a specific area to fit 1 feature work.
although its good to see someone out there thinks about alignment =]

One day I'll have to visit you at Creative Mass and shadow you. I see what you're saying though, it makes sense text book wise but realistically it feels off. Then again, thats something very subjective (objective? I forget which is which) to say.

Subjective is what you mean, in other words it's a personal opinion, relating to yourself and not the subject itself.
This is not a subjective matter though. You are arguing design with the wrong person James ;)

I'm not arguing. In the end I know his textbook knowledge is right. ;)

what do you see that is textbook knowledge?

Luis, you know I'm joking. There's nothing textbook about it, but you mentioned your bachelor of design. ;)
