Why friends?

Wondering if the option for giving a comment with your request to be a friend will be available in the future? It was before... just disappeared. :O

we simplified the process..

if you want to add someone as a contact.. they dont want to add you.. wouldnt that piss u off?

It would be a type of rejection, but not so bad of a rejection if they were Required to state why they were denying you in order to do so. Then at least it's clear as to why. And then it's on the denyer and not the denyee... or whatever. I also understand though that not everyone is going to want to be notified by my art submissions.

As it stands, I Currently prefer the way it is, If someone wants to add you to their contacts and also watch you.. they will and it avoids the awkward rejection part.

Perhaps...but it would be more weird to have the ability to add someone as your "friend" without them knowing. Don't you think?

friends is really unrealistic on the internet.. you don't know or ever met most of if not all the people on your list. and i know that it can be a little subjective as alot of people can be friends without meeting in this day and age..as most of us probably have friends worldwide.

however in terms of social networking and art sites

its really a myspace mentality. imo

contacts in an art site i would think are used mostly to watch someones or work or keep a list of people you respect or possibly are friends with in its minority?
