Noticing the lack of photographers here and I'm feeling a bit lonely. Wanted to start some photo discussion.
What do you guys shoot with? What settings? Film, or digital?

Nikon D200 and some Nikon Nikkor lenses (f1:1,4 - f1:1,28), ringflash for macros and a photo studio.

Canon eos 300d(or rebel) and i soon will get a complete set of a 300d as black edition with battery grip and canon flash and a tamron 28-300 mm
i now have too a batterygrip, and a metz -flash but the camera is very capricious, i suppose she is lonely, so i go and buy her a little black brother ...
btw. @ James, the kiss rebels are not as expensive anymore...
i also thought about updating my old 300d with the russian-hack to have the functions of the 10d ...if that doesnt work, i have the other ones body for about 250$ thats a price you can get on stores also.
the resolution is very ok for me , though higher res is always welcome...;-)
but the next set of a camera will come when none of mine is working anymore, and when the prices for full sensor cameras like the eos 5d have dropped a lot.
i prefer working with CMOS sensors, and the 6,2 MP one in 300d is way better than the 10MP ccd of a 400d, so price and the need to having the latest is not always the best.

Hahaha. I still have to send mine in for warranty but I never have the time because there are always shoots. Has a scratch on the back of one of the mirrors in the camera body itself. No idea how it got there I knew the name, but I forgot.
I'd get another camera, but I don't think it's needed for me just yet. I'll wait until I win the lottery and have some money to spend, and am more comfortable with manual.

Canon 30D and a bunch of different lenses.
I used to shoot with the Sony DSC F828 and BOY has the DSLR made a difference in the quality! I do miss the all-in-one versatility of the Sony cam though.
That being said, if you take photography seriously, I definitely recommend spending the money on a good pro/semi-pro SLR.

I'm rockin the old rebel with pixnoize, original 300D baby. I also have a 1000F film that I freakin love. Traveled through London with me and helped me start photography. Recently I've been looking to upgrade, but I think it's going to be a new lens. Been lookin at a really nice Canon lens recently, the specs escape me right now but it runs about $1200 retail, 25-180mm i think, 2.8 fixed(hawt)
I have been thinking about a new box, and maybe after I get the lens in a year or so I might upgrade to the 20 or 30D, depending what I can find on ebay :)

I have an older Nikon Coolpix 4500. It's a pretty decent camera considering it's age and I definitely like the swivel break-body design. It's great for snapping self portraits etc. That being said, I haven't really been doing much photography lately, too busy with work. Eventually I want to upgrade to a Nikon Digital SLR.

I have a Fujifilm E550 which I use to take photos for my stocks. It's a decent camera but anyway it's one of those compact cameras just with some more controls added. Nothing special.
Someday I'll buy a good DSLR, I'm dreaming of it. My father had a mechanical reflex and was a good amateur photographer... but someome stole all his equipment during his honeymoon, AAARRRGHH!
I also use a fujifilm e550, i think its a great camera. And i also have to agree with james, I have had worse results using expensive equipment that ive borrowed than using the e550 and even my 4mp olympus. Camera , Bulb ......Sorted!!
