Maybe slightly off topic, but what is the deal with the exhibitions?
If it's what I think it is, I like it! But how does one get work in? Is it up to the moderators, or is there a submission/review process?

Hi Binaryvision!
Currently the exhibitions are created solely by admins as we grow content throughout the site. We are though considering a few different options for how we may work them in future, including the option of a submission process. Thanks for your keen interest! :]

but even after that limit, its called photo.manipulation... just another kind of expression in photography...
Like Ansel Adams was able to do with his unique chemical technique, dodge and burn is the tip of the iceberg for him. He was able to remove an entire pathway without leave any trace of it...

yeah like carly said.. we are looking into more features and options for getting the work showcased.. hopefully more user controlled methods..
the exhibitions is basically our way of saying thanks for making kick ass work..and featuring it..and putting them in themes and categories.. its not the only permanent way of showing work.. as we continue to grow and content continues to grow so will the features =]
and with that said.. your more then welcome to go to the feedback and post some suggestions..

(digital) Photographers use photoshop. It's the bitter truth, and you can stay "au natural" and brag about your brilliant from-the-card compositions and exposure, but 9/10ths of a picture is subject matter, and the other 1/10th is doing whatever necessary to "polish" the picture and make sure it stays aesthetically pleasing. This means using photoshop. I recommend checking out some tutorials or just going to town one day with the tools/filters/adjustment layers just to figure out how to use them. This is a changing world, and even though it sucks, we do need to play keep up to not get left behind.
