It's pretty neat to walk into my local book store, pick up computer art magazines & see The Raster Group & CS members artwork displayed around the world. It's incredibly inspiring to see things live and in motion, especially printed right in my hands.

Now thats luxury! Stockholm's quite sucky on that point really; no one bothers to distribute such stuff up in the frozen north.

Raster was in Computer ARTS once. Our traffic took a huge spike that month.

Yeah I am sure there is lots. While I was back in Sydney I got all excited about not having to buy imported magazines anymore. Now I dunno where to get them...I suppose I could google :)

i don't know why but i am always hesitant to look at magazines. i guess it is like the cringe vs inspire factor... i don't know if i will walk away inspired, depressed, angry, disappointed, bothered, and its rare i find any that i will actually buy and take out of the book store with me. I of course had my opinions of these but i found i was absolutely pleased with the whole system behind the spreading of art, design and general expression through the computer. it was like a happy warm interconnection moment :]

Ugh all the magazines I read are imported so more more expensive to get a subscription. I know it would be worth it but it sucks to dish out so much money on a magazine. ComArts, and Photoshop Magazine are my favs which I think are England-based mags.

I'm one of those people who subscribe, get one mag, and then never get around to paying because its just not that worth it to me when i have the web.
very similar with newspapers. stop trying to sell me your newspapers people, i have this little thing called the internet. its really useful you should try it sometime.

Carly, you'll get ALL those magazines in any newsagents. WH Smiths. Even Tescos stock some.
Computer ARTS is a pretty good resource for any artist. Even just to keep in touch with whats going on in the scene. I used to get it religiously. Not sure what happened. Its quite expensive here.
Something like 10 EURO.

I browse at them for the artists, but I don't find all of the articles really interesting, apart from some tutorials.
Way too expensive for what it's worth.
