It's pretty neat to walk into my local book store, pick up computer art magazines & see The Raster Group & CS members artwork displayed around the world. It's incredibly inspiring to see things live and in motion, especially printed right in my hands.

thats because you are IN the magazine pony ;b
ahah yeah ok that's true.
Sorry if I sounded terribly jaded.
I also get the inspiration/cringing feeling when I see how people are incredibely talented then after a while I just think "what the hell just do your own stuff, don't bother about it".
But you constantly get the impression that it's a race or a competition and that something that bothers me with all these magazines.

Exactly, They push art for a different cause & that is just the reason for the cringe. The magazines do seem to try to encourage a competitive perspective. When in actuality the artists i know and see on a regular basis are all about being real and being who they are (with time No Rush), and not what the mag wants. But i think that is natural in any sales driven motive, got to keep pushing that Margin UP!!!.
and it is a shame, why the hell does everything have to be warped.

Whoa whoa whoa. When did this happen? Does anyone have any shots of the magazine where Raster and CS was featured?

I don't control my emotions. I just make them digital.

I wish computer arts had paid me in time, still waiting :| :)
(ok that was a not subtle attempt at self gratification...just kidding, I don't care.)
