Sorry I haven't been here for a while guys. Been getting some work out of the way in terms of school. Back though, and with photos theres also some web work done (or at least, started).
A while ago I think I mentioned here a project I was starting. I am still running with it, and am working on a couple of different designs.
The first is:

The second is:
http://thenaturalanthem.com/wp-content/logged1.jpg
Essentially today I am asking for your help: which one is better for the site? The site goes around the idea of debating and is going for a little bit of a more mature idea (hence the reason the second was concocted - mainly because of the logo).
I have a development staff on this but am struggling with getting some things done because they are extremely busy with other things. If anyone is interested I'd love to have you - leave me a message.
Cheers,
James C.
P.S: To whomever didn't understand the concept of a limited freedom of rights, I finally found a come back. In Canada (at least) there is something called the notwithstanding clause that essentially says that if you use a freedom, but it limits someone else's, then you can be charged for the offense. Same idea here.

Its sure as hell getting there James! Some image-based content would lift the dullness imo. But then again its a discussion site.
Now you need to start working on some efficient backend to keep it all running smooth! ;)

Thats the hardest part, mate. I had a PHP developer that had to leave because hes swamped with work so I'm going to have to do it myself. Guess I'm going to have to pimp the hell out of WordPress!
Thanks for the kind words, Martin. I need to figure out a way to make content more interesting but the fact its a discussion site makes it hard and unlike other service-based sites.

Oh, but by the way Martin (or anyone else); If you know of someone who is good at the back end, get me some contacts. It would save me so much time! And I'm not the kind of guy who goes around and finds these coders online, I like to find them word-of-mouth. ;)
(Oh, and I'm not ignorant of the fact you're a PHP coder (and a damn good one, I must add), I just know you're extremely busy with CS.)

I never asked him. I asked him for contacts! I swear I didn't flash him money!

Because I got a couple of people commenting on contrast...

Should be done now. I want to get coding it but I'm being discouraged by the fact that I won't have a PHP developer to hand it to!

Even better contrast!
Nah sorry James, I'm running my own race with coding; I'm more/less all on my own. : )

I would never ask you. I know you're jam packed. I've been looking at coders and stuff and they're quoting prices in the $2k range so I think it turned me off of doing the project for a long while.

Was taken down, sorry guys. The project has been stopped because I don't have a PHP developer and I need to do the project correctly (building a custom CMS, not using WordPress'). Thanks for the comments on the layout, though!

Aww. What do you think debate groups did before the days of php/web, etc.!?
I don't think you should take your project down all together. It seems like you put alot of thought and time into it.
Having it up visually even if not actively functionable is still a good way to land yourself a PHP person. Just have it up and keep pointing people there.

Well, I have the domain name so I figure I'll put up a splash/product page or something for the time being advertising that I'm looking for a PHP developer.
Thanks for the kind words, Meredith. :)
