Description: This is for a class I attend at my university. The task is to illustrate any song on a spreadpage. I chose two songs from Calexico ("Service & Repair" and "Sunken Waltz"). We are limited to black and white and one or two special colors(?). I want the final illustration to have a clear, maybe woodcut-like but vector-made look. As most of the times I started with a general scribble, then I drawed some scetches of buildings and the guy sitting in front of the TV. I imported them to Illustrater and vectorized the scetches by hand. I added some color and mirrored the image because it makes more sense for the "story" that way. I want the illustrations to have a lots small of details that will be fun to find. |
