I've done my fair share mate. Problem is each web site is very individual to the company and business and will all require different work, content etc
Best thing is to try and get an idea of what they want and then work out how many hours it might take. From there you can start thinking about how much to charge for the basic design labour.
Well, basically you're going to need as much space as you can handle on a dedicated server or three. On top of that you're going to need a provider with custom bandwidth options. If you can get that down then you're heading in the right direction. That would be more than enough for starters.

keith Nah, you're not blind mate. We thought about it and considering everyone and granny can blog anywhere we decided against it but of course that could change or we might put our own spin on it.
aliencraft ya im here :) - my net sucks so my attempts to upload always fail :(

keith Have you been having problems with the site or just your own net?

aliencraft well to be brutally honest, the signal i get is stolen, so its not always strong. i had some insane overuse on bandwidth with my isp, so they suspended my account. :( - now im stuck using some random unsecured wireless signal. cant really complain tho, its free. :)
