Actually, my background is that I'm a 21 year old college student currently at the Art Institute. I come from a 3D modeling background while dabbling around in the Digital Arts and even a little Photography. I'm far from a Traditional Artist although I find myself sketching and doodling at my desk a lot. If you want to find out more, all you have to do is ask.
hey man thanks for the comments on the robos :) - if you are thinking of doing it, go for it. its truly fun. imageafter.com has great stock. sxc.hu is another great place. find mechanical pieces and just piece them together. :)
