I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I have loved drawing for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until my freshman year of college that I found artistic training. I almost instantly fell in love with oil painting, and later, illustration. During my time at college I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Italy, which gave me enormous inspiration. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany Lutheran College in 2007 with emphasis in painting and art history. Since then I have enjoyed illustrating a few children's books. At present I am pursuing an MFA in illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia.
